Joseph M. Belgrade, MD, FACS

 

Dr. Belgrade is a native Delawarean.  He is a graduate of Brandywine High School here in Delaware as well as the University of Delaware.  He attended Jefferson Medical College, graduating in 1985, and completed his general surgery residency training at Medical Center of Delaware (now Christiana Care) in 1990.  He also served as chief resident from 1989-1990.

Dr. Belgrade has been in private practice since 1990, and has been part of Delaware Surgical Group since 2011.  A board certified general surgeon, Dr. Belgrade is dedicated to excellent patient care.  He specializes in laparoscopic and colorectal surgery.  His other interests include complex ventral hernia repair and abdominal wall reconstruction as well as endoscopy and breast surgery.

Michael K. Conway, MD

 

Dr. Conway is a native Delawarean.  He is a graduate of William Penn High School here in Delaware as well as the University of Delaware.  He attended Jefferson Medical College, graduating 1989, and completed his general surgery training at Medical Center of Delaware (now Christiana Care) in 1994.  He also served as chief resident from 1993-1994.

In addition to being co-founder and current president of Delaware Surgical Group, Dr. Conway has also recently been named chair of the department of surgery for St. Francis Hospital.

Dr. Conway is a board certified General Surgeon, and specializes in advanced laparoscopic surgery for inguinal hernia repair and gallbladder problems as well as abdominal wall reconstruction surgery for complex ventral hernias and abdominal wall dysfunction.  He also has begun to perform robotic surgery for ventral hernia repair.  His interest also include endoscopy, colorectal surgery, and breast surgery.  

Eric D. Kalish, MD

 

 

 

Dr. Kalish is also local, originally from just over the line in Pennsylvania.  He attended University of Pennsylvania for undergraduate education as well as medical school, graduating in 1994.  He completed his general surgery residency at Christiana Care in 2001.  During his residency Dr. Kalish did 2 years of basic science research in oncology at the University of Miami.  From 2000-2001 he served as chief resident as well.  He has been a member of Delaware Surgical Group since 2001.

Dr. Kalish is a board certified General Surgeon who spcializes in complex abdominal wall reconstruction and ventral hernia repair as well as laparoscopic surgery.  His interests also include colon surgery, endoscopy, and gallbladder surgery.
